About Scouty

Recruiting is my whole life. That's not a tagline, it's a resume.

I played baseball at Merrimack College. I lived the recruiting process from the athlete's side: the highlight tapes, the transcript requests, the camp invites, the coach emails that went nowhere, the ones that changed everything, and the constant feeling that my future was scattered across a dozen inboxes and a shoebox of paperwork.

Then I coached for a decade. High school football, baseball, and track. I saw the other side: talented kids who never got looks because nobody packaged their story, parents asking me how recruiting actually works and realizing nobody had ever told them, and college coaches who missed players they'd have loved because the film sat in the wrong inbox.

And through all of it, I've spent twelve-plus years doing recruiting as my profession. Founding recruiter at startups, hiring functions built from scratch, hundreds of people moved into jobs that changed their lives. I know exactly what a great recruiting process looks like, because building them is what I do for a living.

Here's what always bothered me: the process for a 17-year-old making the biggest decision of their young life is more chaotic and more unfair than the one companies use to hire a mid-level marketing manager. The talent isn't the problem. The system is.

Scouty exists to fix that. One place for everything that tells an athlete's story: film, stats, academics, schedule, and communication. Built with the discipline of professional recruiting, the perspective of a coach who's written the recommendation letters, and the memory of being the kid waiting on an answer.

Every athlete deserves a real shot at being seen. That's the whole company.
